Posted on May 06 2018

Our BOON ONE Super Series all-black boxing gloves will come into use again in the ONE Championship events in Jakarta and Singapore on 12 and 18 May 2018.

The "ONE: Grit & Glory" event in Jakarta on will be held on 12 May 2018 and headlined by a rematch between Alex Silva from Brazil and Yoshitaka Naito from Japan who are competing for the strawweight title. We are especially excited about the two Super Series bouts.

The first bout will be a kickboxing match between Sergej Maslobojev (Lithuania) and Antonio Plazibat (Croatia) at catch weight (95 kg). Maslobojev from Lithuania has 16 MMA fights and 10 boxing matches as well as 48 kickboxing bouts on his record. His opponent from Croatia, Plazibat, has been the K-1 heavyweight champion in 2017.

The second bout will be a Muay Thai fight between Ognjen Topic (Serbia) and Stergos Mikkios (Greece) at bantamweight. Topic is a former Lion Fight 135lbs champion from Serbia and the U.S. who has trained and competed in Thailand. His opponent, Stergos Mikkios, is originally from Greece but grew up in the U.S. He has fought and won a couple of domestic titles.

The ONE Championship card in Singapore - "ONE: "Unstoppable Dreams" - is headlined by two co-main events on the main card, one of which is an inaugural title bout. A title fight between current women's atomweight world champion Angela Lee (Singapore) vs. Mei Yamaguchi (Japan), and a Super Series bout between Sam-A Gaiyanghadao (Thailand) vs. Sergio Wielzen (Suriname). The Super Series bout will be for the first ever ONE Super Series Muay Thai Flyweight World Champion.
