BPB1 Belly Pad Buckle (Single Piece Leather)

Super happy with the belly pad, top notch quality and design, as everyone knows. Received it in 4 days. I agree with Dustin's review and don't mind the break in period. About the fit, I'm 6'1" tall and 155 lbs, size 32 waist. I ordered the Large because it's a bit taller than the medium and it fits great on the second to last belt notch. Also love the ethics of the company. No complaints, Boon is doing it right.

I received this belly pad a few weeks ago and have been using it consistently with all of the fighters at my gym. These thing will clearly be around my belly 10 years from now. This thing is made to take a beating. And I love the buckle design. The only negative I can say is that I ordered this the same time as my kick pads and this clearly has a longer "break in" period. That's not really that big of a deal in my opinion so I don't take away any stars for that but if you are looking into this pad I feel it's fair to warn you. It is really dense and does not have any give at first so you will still feel the teeps and strikes at first until it starts to break in. But that said I'm in love with it. I ordered a Medium and I will say that Medium is probably the size 75-85% of trainers will want to go with. It will fit most people. Only if you know you are a larger person would you probably want to go with the large (I don't have the large so I can't speak for how small it gets but it must fit a huge size because my medium could fit a semi big guy no problem). So to shorten this review up I think it's great belly protector that is strong and durable but it does have a break in period that you have to get through (but honestly most gear does so that shouldn't really factor into your decision to go with this product).
