Context: I’ve been training Muay Thai 4-5 days a week for 2 years. This is my fourth pair of gloves. These are my first pair of Boons, these are my first impressions.
The hand box is smaller than yokkao, which I like.I spent a few days manually kneading the gloves to accelerate the break-in period. They open and close pretty easily so far, I imagine they will continue to get more and more flexible. My stance is pretty open handed so this is a huge plus. The finishing touches on the gloves are beautiful. The leather is high quality and pops on the bag - I’m really happy with the POP. Makes me sound stronger than I am, and looking cool is the only reason to train.
So far, I’m really enjoying this glove. They also include some swag in the box, which is a thoughtful touch.
Nice fit and fantastic quality!
The shirts fits me very well. Got a V shaped body with a small hip. M fits really good. The shirt is build with good fabric and sewing patterns. I like the feel of it.
Very sturdy and subtle (not flashy) Muay Thai shorts.
I never had nylon shorts, but I know the material. They fit perfectly. The service is extraordinary, I got asked after ordering if I really want this size because the waist has a lot of flexibility. Very good customer support. I really needed the size because of my thighs. So the sizechart is also very helpful and precise!
These pads are epic! They do run small on the hands but they give a little with use and honestly, they are awesome!
When you’re coaching people for accuracy and speed and wanting to save your joints from heavy hitters or wild newbies, these are your go-to’s!
I’ve got a bunch of stuff from Boon and it literally never fails on design, quality or application for training.
Love ‘em!
