BGVBR Classic Velcro Glove Brown & Black

These truly are great gloves. I have quite large hands, the gloves have a snug, but very comfortable fit. The cuff is very firm and lightly padded. The general padding has medium firmness, which I really like. Many competitors have very soft padding, which I do not like for pad work - the boons are better in that regard. Still, the Boons 16oz+ are also very suitable for sparring and are a true Allrounder. I love them! Note that I am a very Boxing-heavy person, if you are mostly doing Thaiboxing, you may have a different experience, since the cuffs are quite long and not as flexible as others. This is a “pro” for me, but may be a “con” to you. The only thing that could be better is probably the inner lining, since I sweat quite strongly in the gloves - more than I do in my other gloves. This might also come from the more snug fit, I’m not sure. But since I make sure to air them out after each use, I do not think this is a huge deal.
When you buy it internationally, keep in mind that you have to pay the import tax yourself on top of shipping. For me (Germany) that was 32.50€. Including shipping and taxes, I paid approximately 160€, which I find appropriate for the outstanding quality.

This is my third consecutive pair of Boons, and I don't think I'll ever change. After shopping around quite a bit, I think these gloves are just as good as gloves you'd pay twice as much for. I definitely prefer wearing my Boons over my $250 pair of Everlasts.

The leather feels amazing, the fit and feel are perfect. My last two pairs lasted about two years each with hard daily use, so I know they'll hold up.

This is my first pair of Boon gloves. I have used other brands such and Yokkao, Fairtex, and Rise in the past. I LOVE these gloves. The hand compartment is slightly smaller than the one provided by Yokkao or Rise gloves, and the fit is snug. This loosens up as the glove breaks in, and molds to fit the shape of your hand. They do not come broken in, and since they are real leather they will fit perfectly to your hand after you give them a good bit of use.

I clinch a lot and tend to use a long guard, and these gloves are perfect for that. I had to break in the fingers and palm to get out of the initial stiffness of the glove being new, but now they are just wonderful. They provide excellent cushion and a fit that is tight and does not slide, even when opening and closing my fist as I switch from clinching to punching.

I highly recommend this excellent glove to anyone who ares about their Muay Thai performance and comfort while training or sparring. Not only are they excellent quality and very secure and comfortable, but they are aesthetically beautiful as well. 10 out of 10.
